REDUCING THE USE OF ANTIBIOTICS IN LIVESTOCK
According to the United Nations, the overuse of antibiotics in farming is a major threat to human health. In some countries, approximately 70% of antibiotics sold are used in the animal sector, largely for growth promotion in healthy animals. Overuse and misuse of antibiotics in animals and humans is contributing to the rising threat of antibiotic resistance, the second major crisis we are tackling.
Our second solution is a natural feed supplement that reduces or eliminates the need to use antibiotics in monogastric livestock via improved gut health and reduced infection rates, resulting in a significantly higher profitability.
