The efficiency of grassland reseeding can be improved by using new technical solutions in the seeder and the yield and quality of sward will be improved by using mixtures of grasses, broad beans and herbs. The project will also demonstrate the suitability of the proposed prototype for reseeding under different soil conditions and at different times. In the course of the project, the following assumptions will be verified: innovative solutions thanks to the application of the coulter seeding system (regardless of surface levelling) will ensure more precise seeding of seeds at a specified depth and better seedling emergence and installation, lower soil moisture losses, higher productivity and better quality fodder, richer in valuable grass species, higher productivity and better fodder quality, richer in valuable grasses, legumes and herbs, and consequently better tasting meat and dairy products, higher labour productivity due to simultaneous seeding of seeds and fertilizers, and additionally less nitrogen losses to waters due to better utilization of fertilizer components by grasses and more precise seeding; better protection of soils from excessive mineralisation processes (especially on organic soils) because improved reseeding technology will result in a grassland without the need for full cultivation. This will have a positive impact on the sequestration of organic carbon in the soil.
