Agro Fossil Free - Microwave device for destroying invasive plants

General Description

A microwave device (remotely controlled robot) for destroying invasive plants, in particular Sosnowski hogweed, was developed as part of the Innovation Incubator 4.0 project. The mobile device can be used in various types of habitats (variably moistened; the unit pressure of the device on the ground is three times lower than under the human foot). Microwaves emitted by the antennas are able to destroy hogweed plants at every stage of phenological growth. Unlike other known technologies, the device can permanently reduce the germination capacity of seeds, which has not been achieved by other methods so far. The results of the works concern the permanent elimination of undesirable invasive vegetation from various habitats, including environmentally valuable areas, e.g.: Natura 2000, landscape parks, national parks.
