Agriculture is one of the sectors of the economy where the heat pump is becoming more widely used. This is particularly true in situations where it may be used in an alternative arrangement, both for heating and cooling, mainly as the possibility to use waste heat. Pig farming is one of the most important branches of agricultural production in Poland since immemorial period. The development of modern husbandry animal technology the need to seek new solutions seems to be imperative. The use of it will contribute to the rationalization of energy use and it will result in air protection. The answer to this trend is the recovery of waste energy from wastewater. The purpose of this article is to present possible solutions and bring benefits which can be achieved through the use of an installation for heat recovery from waste water so as to supply the livestock farm in hot water. The analysis of possible examples of above systems has been done.
